How I work // The Process
I am so glad that you found me! My process begins once you get in touch and introduce yourself. I'll send over a stationery guide that explains more about how I work and what to expect in during the bespoke process.
2. Questionnaire and Consultation
Once you decide I'm the right stationer for you, I'll send over a questionnaire. Just like the beginning of all great relationships, I want to know everything about you. Your questionnaire will give me insight into your vision for your wedding or event. I want to know your inspirations and aspirations for your big day and stationery. This is when you share as much as possible with me, including Pinterest boards! Once I receive your questionnaire, we’ll go through it together and discuss what you need and your timescales. We can do this over Skype, FaceTime, phone call or in person. After our consultation, I’ll send over a contract to sign and an invoice for design. Once I have received those two things, I’ll put together a customised timescale for your the whole project.
3. Concept Design
Once you have fully briefed me with all your ideas and visions, I’ll design two concepts. The concepts will include design elements including motifs, colours, fonts, patterns, paper design and finishing touches. The concept will be presented like a super detailed mood board with detailed pricing. I'll also include a mock up of the invitation design. This is the bulk of the design process. You then narrow down to one concept that you love. SEE AN EXAMPLE OF A CONCEPT BOARD HERE.
4. Stationery design
After you've chosen the concept you love, I apply it to all the stationery pieces you have chosen, creating gorgeous and unique stationery for your event.
5. On the press
Once you’ve signed off on the final proof for your stationery, I hit the presses (literally!), bringing all the gorgeous designs to life with letterpress loveliness. I print all my letterpress stationery on my vintage printing press. I hand-feed each piece and manually mix the ink for all colours. It truly is a labour of love.
6. Signed, sealed, delivered
It's yours! After your stationery is complete, I send your letterpress loveliness fully tracked and covered via courier.
